IATF 16949 - Automotive Quality Management Systems
The IATF 16949 technical specification was developed by the IATF - International Automotive Task Force, which is made up of car manufacturers. It defines the requirements of the quality management system (QMS) for suppliers related to the automotive chain.
IATF 16949 replaces ISO / TS 16949 and is the result of feedback from certification bodies, auditors, suppliers and OEMs. It aggregates all the requirements of ISO 9001: 2015 with some requirements of regional and national standards in the automotive sector.
In addition, it defines as a requirement, the need to meet the Specific Requirements of Customers (CSR).
